International education is a competitive, multi-billion dollar global sector and one of Australia's largest exports. Education providers are continuously engaged in competitive recruitment activities offshore (and within Australia) to increase their market share, as well as develop new markets to increase their international enrolments.

International admissions departments process thousands of these applications daily, often under intense pressure to process applications as quickly as possible, issue offers and then convert them to new enrolments that help meet the institutions’ international student targets.
