Our team regularly meets with representatives of state and federal government, regulatory bodies, partners and organisational members to ensure our members are well represented in the formulation of education policy, key decisions and the international education agenda.

Government Submissions
IEAA is the only cross-sectoral organisation representing international education in Australia. As such, we are in a unique position to advocate on behalf of the whole sector. This includes providing regular media commentary, lobbying Government.
Committees & Representation
In addition to regular submissions and meetings with state and federal government bodies, our members and partners are regularly represented on government and regulatory body councils, committees, and groups.
Global Partnerships
On the world stage, we advocate for the advancement of international education in Australia through our global partnerships and networks, research and face to face through international conferences and events.
Erasmus+ is the EU’s program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. In 2022, IEAA was appointed as the Erasmus+ National Focal Point (ENFP) for Australia.
