Innovation

This award recognises the work of an individual or team that has contributed to international education through an innovative initiative in an area including (but not restricted to) international development, internationalisation of the curriculum, marketing and recruitment, support programs for international students, pathway initiatives, learning abroad programs or social inclusion activities.

Criteria

Nominators will be asked to provide an executive summary which outlines:

  • The initiative or achievements shown by the individual or team;
  • The outcomes for the institution/sector/field of international education; and
  • Who benefited from the initiative.

These nominations should address the design of the initiative and how feedback on outcomes has been addressed. Any report on early feedback that has been received and acted upon should also be covered in the submission.

The nomination should describe the innovative activity of the nominee/s which is worthy of recognition and meets the following criteria:

The team/ individual has:

  • Addressed an identified area of need in international education

  • Demonstrated original and creative thinking;

  • Delivered improved and measurable outcomes for students, staff and their institution

The award will focus on newer initiatives that have commenced in the preceding 18 months. These nominations should address the design of the initiative and how feedback on outcomes has been addressed. Any report on early feedback that has been received and acted upon should also be covered in the submission.
