Pathways Network

IEAA's Pathways Network provides a national forum for international pathway providers to share information, develop and benchmark good practice and participate in government policy development.

About the Network

It includes members from public and private higher education institutions as well as schools, VET and ELICOS providers of academic pathway programs.

In this context, Pathways is defined broadly to include award and non-award programs, foundation studies, enabling and short bridging courses, with or without credit transfer to a principal course.

The network aims to:

  • Promote the standing of pathway programs through improved and standardised data collection, including longitudinal student tracking data
  • Enhance student outcomes by ensuring they have appropriate academic and cultural preparation for their principal course
  • Contribute to professional skills development for staff working in the pathways sector through IEAA's professional development program
  • Work with members and regulators (TEQSA & ASQA) to achieve consistent application of course accreditation standards, including those for Foundation Programs.

Network Conveners

Network Conveners represent professionals across each of the IEAA Networks and are responsible for setting the agenda for network focussed events, research and insights and identifying relevant topics and speakers for the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC).
